tach issues

I have a 93 base model with a tach that does not work. When I start the car it moves up from laying flat to 0. No matter how much I rev it, does not move. I seen similar posts about tach problems, but it seems with those posts their tach seems to work even though it reads incorrectly. I checked the coil connection to make sure it is clean and secure. Any suggestions???

No one else have this issue on their 92 or 93?

thanks twin. I found this a while ago, but I was not sure if it applied to th 92 and 93 vettes. I guess if I want my stock tach to work its either try this or buy rebuilt gauge cluster.

I've used tachs from lt1 models on my 91 so it should be the same. I went to radioshack and found the resisters..
