Default 91 EPROM help needed PLEASE

91 coupe with auto trans and the EPROM in the ECU is toast. broadcast code is AXCR. GM part number is 16159800 and it is a discontinued part. What are my options here? Can i get this somewhere or am I going to have to look at aftermarket? If Aftermarket where would you guys look?

FYI: Only symptom is the car's check engine light is flashing

thanks so much in advance,

Sully

The AXCR bin file is available here.

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/di...nual-bins.html

You must log in to download the file.

One option is some one could burn you a new chip. Then purchase the Moates Memory adapter.

You plug the Moates adapter into your current Mem Cal Module. This bypasses the on board Eprom.

This should work as long as the Limp Home Mode circuitry on your Mem Cal Module is good. (Most likely it is).

He also sells a adapter board that allows you to read the Eprom on the
Mem CAl module with out unsoldering it but I'm not sure if the Eprom
can be reprogrammed using this adapter.
