Default g force chip.

Hey all, I have a 95 coupe. Have been thinking about trying a gforce chip. Anyone on here ever looked at or installed one of these on there car. Would appreciate any input on this,if it is for real or not. Thanks brent317

Does Gforce explain where exactly this chip goes on a 1995?

From their website they claim:
  1. up to 60HP
  2. 4-7 MPG
  3. CO down 25-40%
  4. Installed by "Anyone"

But
  1. There is nothing close to 60HP on the table waiting for the right "chip".
  2. More power on less fuel? Um no.
  3. Aggressive leaning might do that. But consider a normal LT1 doesn't make much CO when it is working right.
  4. Ok, answer the question at the top of this post.

IMO if you want a custom tune contact Alvin at PCM for Less and go through the data logging process and flash your comp with the file he sends you.

There really isn't any "chip" that is mass-produced that is worth much of anything in terms of performance. It looks like this chip does nothing more than trick the IAC. Gains of up to 60 HP?? Hardly. A list price of $399 discounted to $60.

Improving performance is really going to be a matter of hard parts. A good cat-back exhaust system is a good start.

Unless you have significant modifications, you don't need a non-factory chip. The GM engineers are pretty sharp, they didn't leave a bunch of horses on the table just because.

I will sell you a chip that will get you up to 200 additional horsepower, (of course, I don't guarantee a minimum HP increase, just that it won't be more than 200hp).

Put the money into something useful for your car. As mentioned, exhaust is the best "bolt on" performance for the buck.
