Default 1994 LT1 build

I have a auto 1994 LT1. I'm wanting to build a 383 stroker that will put out 400 to 425 rwhp. Ive also seen LT4 conversion kits. What is the best way to go? And should I do anything with the transmission or gears?

Find out what Lingenfelter puts in their LT1 stroker. See if you can make it up yourself?

Default If you really want power.......

Build a 383 LT-4 The difference is in the cam, heads, and intake. Here is an article you may find interesting:

I'm not building a 383 but I am building a lt4. With the additional port and runner size they breath real well. Also check out the LTx hot cam from GM performance.

Here is a link to a 383LT4 build I did for a member here in 2008. Every part number and specification for the engine is in the thread.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...-pictures.html

Very conserative engine with good parts. Car put down over 420RWHP, pulls down over 25mpg and so far has been driven over 20K trouble free miles.... infact he loves the engine so much we are currently transfering the engine into the 96 Grand Sport Vert he bought.

Cost for everything shown in that build was right at $10K and I just spec'd a similar build out for another forum member and it's going to be right in the $10K range as well.
