I want to get some 1.6 full roller rockers and am wandering what works well and if I need to buy guide plates or pushrods as well or if it will clear my stock valve covers. I have iron heads and want to spend around 250$

Scorpion makes a great roller rocker arm.
If going to a 1.6 ratio you will have to have the heads pushrod guide slot extended.
You do not have to have screw in studs/guide plates installed but they are a better system than the cast in pushrod guide the stock cast iron heads have.
Ideally you'd want to plot the rocker geometry and it's an absolute if changing the rocker ratio - Just to know what length pushrods to buy.
Stock rocker covers should fit but you'll have to cut the drip tabs off.

I have the same engine and installed CompCams 1.6's with their springs.
You don't need guide plates, pushrods or the self aligning rockers.
You don't need to modify the drip tabs in the stock valve covers.
I'm also running the CC XF264 cam without any other modifications.
The engine has ten thousand miles without problems.
Best mod I've done.
