Where would be the best place to get a set of these?
So far I have been using only Ecklers to look up parts. Sadly my old catalog seems a bit out of date 2001 and they do not seem to have many choices on line any longer.
Does any other mail order place stock them?
What would be a good set to get?
Aluminizied or Stainless steel?
I know it is a few questions but looking for some answers
I like the sound of the muffler elims the PO put on but I have no idea who makes 'em. They are a bit droney at highway speeds but sound great accelerating around town. Not too loud but folks check out the sound of horses on the loose. I may end up doing something different when I get rid of the y pipe and the big cat and go with LTH's, an x pipe and a 2.5" true dual set up with hi po cats.
I like the ZR1 elims/tips that E.J. has linked. Sharp
I picked up a set from Corvette Central. I was very suprised at how easy they went on!! I almost had a heart attack when I somehow only had to make 1 cut per side!!!! I think they sound great for a cheap addition!!
I got the Corvette Central ones with the LT1 tips for my '94. Easy to install and they looked and sounded great.
They are prone to rust. Take a little time to strip and repaint them. I drove mine all year so I wasn't easy on them, but mine started to rust at the tips and where the tips were welded. I stripped and repainted mine. The stock paint that comes on them isn't too good.
