Fuel Pump Problem
I have an 84 vette and it's been sitting in my garage for a while without being started. I drained the gas tank and added new gas in, replaced to fuel pump and the fuel pump relay switch. Every time I reconnect the negative terminal of the battery, the fuel pump runs continuously and wont shut off. I've read its suppose to for 4 seconds and then shut off. Is the new fuel pump bad? or is it something else. Thanks

it was doing the same thing even before I replaced the relay, which was what made me think it was the original relay that was bad but that wasnt the problem since its still running continuously with a new relay.
