motor configuration!!

Anyone ever see a ZZ4 in a C4 TPI , with the what looks like the factory TPI system.

Engine block stamped ZZ4 , also oil pan labeled ZZ4, noticed this while underneath trying to get them pesky little bolts free for the evap coil housing to install a new ac system.

Interesting, I was told the motorTranny was replaced/rebuilt around 25K miles ago, took it worth a grain of salt at the time , figured it ran great so I really didnt worry about It.

Real popular L98 replacement motor.
Has a slightly hotter cam than factory.

Good to hear, was wondering why it was a little more peppy from what I remember a L98 being.

If I remember correctly, Pete K told me the ZZ4 with a tpi setup was about 30 hp more then the stock motor...WW

That's pretty close.

TPI.... The best way to turn a 355HP engine into a 280HP engine.

wow, that is so disappointing, here i am, getting ready to stuff a ZZ4 cam into my L98...

price was a factor, before everybody chimes in with their favorite higher-priced cam.

Its not the cam that holds it back. ZZ4 is a nice cam. Its the intake. Mine runs 12.80 @108 with a ZZ4 cam. It also has aftermarket heads and a Miniram.
