, I had some minor set backs. I broke the timing chain at high RPM, bent and broke valves, damaged all the pistons cam With that said the motor is back together with all new parts again. With that said the car should be started up tomorrow. Will post pictures and video. The new additions AI heads and intake

Nice looking car

Regarding your questions...
- To lift the engine by the intake in my picture, I use the "Happy Hooker". It's sold by TPiS for ~$50. I've had it for years, but I assume they still make/sell them.
- I use the car for track days (I teach for various Corvette clubs, Porsche, BMW, etc). It has all the typical suspension mods including solid bushings in the front a-arms from Global West, poly bushings in the sway bars, adjustable shocks, brackets that reposition the rear trailing arms from DRM, 1990 Z51 springs and sway bars, lowered, etc.
- The orange ducts you can see in thep pic are for brake cooling

96GS - Did you have any trouble installing the motor with the headers on? I am going to be putting mine in soon and I'm debating if it will be a struggle or not. I know the headers are easier to put on outside.

For my 383, I left the driver's side header off to give a little more wiggle room. It was nearly as easy to install the driver's side header with the engine installed as it is with the engine on the stand.

I've since installed an LTx engine with both headers installed and it goes just fine. You just have to be careful not to bump them when moving the engine around and getting it seated on the mounts since you have a little less side-to-side room.

No I had the headers off and intake. The headers weren't bad to install at all. i just had to move the steering shaft and put it back, it was not a problem. I don't know what header you are running; I use American racing headers.
