recently installed corvette central's dual exhaust with straight pipes back to the magna flow mufflers. didnt notice the reversion before. kinda sounds like when u need to rejet your harley. not really loud but u can hear it. never noticed it with the stock system. didnt know if the h-pipe in the system causes this or not? when i say reversion i am talking about a popping sound when u let off the gas or as the car idles down when it downshifts.

Reason: explanation
I've never heard it termed "reversion", but if you're talking about an annoying drone inside the cabin, it's present with nearly every aftermarket C4 exhaust system, outside of Corsa.
I've got the corvette central true dual 2.25 "H" pipe set up with bullet cats and muffler elims. When I am engine braking I DEFINITELY get a different exhaust note, very poppy sounding. Personally I LOVE it. I'm not to sure about reversion though.

If he's got the stock injectors (or old ones), it's more likely that one/more is getting lazy and letting a bit of extra fuel into the chamber. Or, one/more is crapping out of the O2 sensor side -- causing it to run rich on the other bank.
Either can cause popping on decel -- which is MUCH easier to hear with opened-up exhaust.
An x-pipe will eliminate any noise on deceleration.
Some folks like the noise.
Others can live without it.
When I had my resonator on the car with the muffler eliminators it popped like crazy on decel. With my X-pipe in place is is much smoother but will crackle/pop once or so when the injectors start firing again as I get low enough in the RPM's.
maybe reversion wasnt the exact term i should have used but it was the only thing i had to compare it to. i am used to it on the harleys just wasnt expecting it on the corvette. I do like the sound of the true duals and the magna flows though. i was suprized that the drone from the stock exhaust was gone when i put the true duals on it. it is actually quieter when at cruise speed but, sounds great when u open it up.it still has a little leak and i wasnt happy with the quality control from corvette central. it took me awhile to get the right mufflers from them. the pipes wernt cut even and i had to take them off three times and trim them in order to make the whole system to fit right. dave at cc was a lot of help but i felt i had to explain everything three times to make them understand what they kept sending me didnt fit. i kept sending picture and when they finally brought a a 88 in to the shop and tried to install what they had sent me they realized it was all wrong. got new parts and i fit much better. all in all i was happy finally. lessons learned is when u get the center section make sure u trim the pipes to even. make sure the two forward sections are completely level. make sure the center hanger clamps are postioned at the ends of the center section or it wont clamp properly. when u trim the fwd part of the center section make sure u cut two slots 180 out from each other or it wont seal. u will probably have to weld the muffler section inorder to keep the tips even. just a few thoughts.
