New front skinnys

In my quest to keep the GS stock appearing I had some new front shinnys made up. Big thanks to Shawn Cavanagh for having them cut and welded up for me! Jaymie's body shop painted them for me.

They came out awsome! They were stock 17x9.5 wheels.

They are now 17x5, the tires are M&H 185/55/17.

I don't autocross with them but they are fine driving normal with them. I had ProStars on the front before these.

That is awesome! I wanted to do that with a set of sawblades for my 95. Widen the rears and narrow the fronts for a stealth look.

You guys don't drag race and made your front tires "skinny". Why? What's the advantage?

Yeah what is the purpose of skinny tires? The only advantage may be in snowy conditions, but wide tires give you better traction in both wet and dry environments. Your car was designed with a wide tire from the factory, so why would you change the handling of the car?

Less rolling resistance =less power required to push it

Id laugh if he picked up 1mpg or so too.

Wont be cornering fast but sure it will show on his time slip

I drag race 10-15 times a year. http://www.corvettechallenge.info/
Normal driving I run my regular street tires, but the skinnys are fine on the street just don't take ramps at 80!
