Has anyone had any experience with Blue print engines, I am looking at putting their 383 stroker engine in my 86 with a miniram, what do you think. Or would it be cheaper to build my current motor. http://www.blueprintengines.com/index.php/gm-383-new
Usually cheaper to buy one done problem with mail order engines is you never know the quality of machinig or assy. Is it done right by a pro or a $10/hr immigrant with little QC?
Crap shoot about all you can do is look for feedback reviews etc. There will always be someone with an issue somewhere.
Everyone needs to stick to their $ limit or budget but Ive found there is NO such thing. To compromise gives up reliability...so budget has turned into "whatever it ends up costing to get it right".
hit up tpi421vette here on the forum he has a real solid rep for building strokers here that stay together.

Put me down as the third vote for Jim Barth (tpi421vette) for an engine build.Nothing but good press on his builds..... I would say use Pete Kane, he's the guy that built my 383, but I haven't seen Pete on the forum for a few months...Must be working his butt off.....WW
