Mine was supposed to run a 14.3 bone stock so you can't really go based on magazine times from then(cars are faster)
Today's cars are slower than magazine times by a pretty large margin, camaros with full exhaust/drag radials running 13.1 and with street tires bone stock running a 13.6-13.9
Low 14's as noted. Maybe high 13's with good car/good track/good driver.
Your kinda right on the newer Camaro's and such. I'm not at all impressed with them. Most seem to run low 13's on street tires.
A LOT depends on the driver. Some stock LT1 ZF6 C4's have broken in to the high 12's with expectational drivers in ideal conditions. I routinely run mid 13's and my best is a 13.38@105 in stock trim.

I'm not eally a huge fan of the Gen V Camaro myself, but 13.6-13.9 for a 4,400 lb factory stock car isn't too shabby considering gearing, emission friendliness, keep quiet stuff, and such. Drop 1,000 lbs and that baby's gonna fly.
No, the new Camaro is NOT 4400 lbs. 100 lbs heavier than a CTS-V?? No. Try again. ~3600 - 4120 lbs. depending on equipment.

Well we have a lot of misinformation in this thread! The above is no exception. This ain't true either. Just about ANY car can be driven faster (by a GOOD driver), than the mags run them. If you think cars are slower than the mag times, then it's b/c you're watching a cars driven by people who don't know how to drive.

After further review, from the Chevy website, the Fifth Gen Camaro with V8 (1SS & 2SS) has a curb weight of 3,860. I was thinking that the 2010 models were heavier. Guess the 'maro went on a diet.
But certainly, the driver mod, is the most important to increase performance and longevity of any car.

At 3860 they weigh and the gearing they have they should be a lot quicker than they are. And the najority of them I see run have taken the cats off as well as put cold air in takes on it
