Default Need help on superram bracket

Same post I made on CG...hoping to get some more guys here who have a SR installed:

So I'm getting close on finishing up the SR install. Went to put on the accelerator cable, cruise cable, and tv cable. I had a lot of trouble with the tv cable, it seemed to bind up under the plenum not allowing for proper adjustment. I could barely bolt the bracket on and I was afraid the extra tension would damage the tv cable mount.

I am using the bracket the PO provided. It was slightly different than mine, so I figured it's the accel 74200 that is supposed to be used. Now upon closer inspection, I think the slight differences are just because it was from a Camaro of a different year.

So I measured the angle of the stock bracket and it's approximately 145*. I am debating whether or not to try to find the correct bracket or mod the extra one I have. Can someone measure their SR bracket angle so I can get the correct measurements? Any help is appreciated.

Matthew

Do you have the original stock bracket? That's what I'm using. I also received a bracket when I purchased the SR. I came to the conclusion it was from a Camaro. Just like you found, it did not work.

I have the stock bracket. The 89 corvette bracket and 92 camaro bracket are identical in terms of the angle of the cables/mounting points. Only a very slight difference in the machining of the brackets and one extra "triangle" tab in the hole for the cruise cable on the camaro bracket.

If I can't find the SR bracket I have no problem cutting the camaro bracket and fixing the angle. I just want to know what it is.

How are you measuring the angle?

Very clear picture, thanks. I think tomorrow I will put a protractor up to the computer screen and check the angle....no joke. What I need to know is that interior angle and that's a perfect shot!

Thanks again,

Matthew

Thanks again to Chuck for the photo. Here's a crude photoshop comparison I did for future reference:
