Well, I have finally gotten my Corvette running after replacing the fuel pump/strainer, fuel filter and fuel pump relay.
My garage has been smelling pretty strongly of gas lately and there are no visible leaks from the Corvette. I can smell gas by the Schraeder Valve (granted, I did press it down a few days ago and there might be some left over gas on the fuel rail, I also don't have a cover for my Schraeder Valve).
Basically, the issue is this: Under heavy acceleration and so far, only in first gear, it will hesitate for a few moments, then resume under acceleration after the hesitation. During normal accel, it runs great.
Someone not on this forum, who used to own a C4 stated it could be a faulty/leak FPR? Any other thoughts, advice, write-ups?
Thanks in advance. I have been learning alot from the experts here on this forum.

Only way you are going to have any idea what is going on is to drive with a fuel gauge taped to the hood so you can see what the fuel pressure
is doing under different driving conditions.
Anything else is pure guess work
Remove the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator and check for fuel in the line. Do this right after shutting off the engine, as the fuel can evaporate and look dry.
If the FPR diaphragm is ruptured, fuel will flow through the vacuum line into the plenum. See my thread called "Playing With Fire" to see why a ruptured FPR diaphragm is bad...
Sometimes, if your timing is off, the knock sensor tells the computer that the engine is pinging, and the computer may retard the timing up to 11 degrees.
Recheck your timing.
