Ran at my local track a few weekends ago and I am fairly happy with the results. It was a Muscle Car meet, so we ran in 1/2 second intervals. I ran in the 12.00-12.49 class won the first against a 440 powered cuda, but lost second round due to a -.049.
Car was very consitant with the best 60' times and 1/8 I have ever had.

Sounds like a well matched combo that is fun and street friendly.Porting the heads is a good idea but past that I say leave it alone or the trade off will be less friendly for cruising and driveability.
The stock 36 was replaced with a built 44, bought it from one of the members here, everything was cryo'd and dry lubed and came with Denny's Nitrous half shafts. I also replaced the stock drive shaft with a HD steel and bigger 1350 Spicers.
At the traps the tach was at 5000, I have shift set for 6000 at WOT.

Sweet. Car def needs more gear in it for sure. You want it to be around 5700-6000 going through the traps
I loved my vette but I am a diehard mopar guy since my first one at 15.That was 21 years ago and I still have one old mop lying around. They are kinda like vettes in that they are expensive to build.
Hit it with a 100 shot and you won't stop smiling.More gear may get you that 11 sec slip just depends on how much hwy driving you do.
Don't know what rpm your converter is stalling at but a good unit may improve your 60ft and that helps everywhere.
Sounds like you are about maxed out on a stock bottom end so keep that in mind and start building a stout shortblock for some big boy fun.
Mph definitely should improve. My 93 with headers no cats, 1.6 RR , pullies and a 4.09 rear gear ran 111 mph (12.8). I have a feeling your shifting way too early
If I were you Ditch caring about useless e.t and work on getting the mph up. At that speed you're barely faster than a bone stock 1997 c5 with long tubes.
My Buddy Rich (93 ragtop) ran 11.80's@115 regularly on the stock bottom end... TEA Ported LT1 heads, Hot Cam, 3000 Stall, D44 4.09 rear gear on 26X11.5-15 ET Streets.
I think his wife actually ran a best of 11.71@118 before it kicked the rods out of the stock bottom end.
You already have a pretty good running car. Be careful chasing that 11.9X time slip.... You really don't have the MPH to get there without knocking a ton off your 60ft, and that is going to start breaking rear end stuff.
The best way IMO, is to have those heads ported and pick it up on the big end.... It's not a cheap solution but neither is replacing that D44 every weekend.

You might get a few tenths quicker with the upcoming cooler weather.
I've only had my car at the track once since installing a new engine and that was back in July. I'm hoping to be .4 or .5 quicker when I hit the track again in mid November.
