How did you discover that it was throwing a 33-34 code?

i have a book and it says if maf is bad i should get a reading of 33 -34 saying this problem

also the man at auto zone says my ignition coil in the distributor is gone bad.

If the MAF is bad, unplug it and the car will start. A bad MAF can keep it from running but it will run with the MAF unplugged, just not as good as it will with a good MAF.

Hopefully the AZ guy ment the Ignition Control Module....But that has nothing to do with code 33 or 34..
