rguy,

you didnt mention what year corvette you have, My 96 LT1 I use generally a spark plug socket with a short extension and sometime adda universal to it.

For replacing the plug I always start itby hand and thread it as far into the head as I can then tighten the plug.

I hople this helps, sometimes patience is the biggest key working on these guys...

What year is it, on a 91 #6 and 8 are the only two you can get to on the pass side with no problem just a regular plug socket and a short extension. The other two are the tough ones. I usually take the wheel well out on the pass side, only a few bolts and then you can get
them with extensions.
Good luck.

sorry, it's a '93. I've changed all of them except these 2 because they look to be the most difficult.

thanks.

Patience, Patience, Patience. I hand threaded as well, then tightened down. I didn't think #6 was too bad, it looked worse than it is. #8 is not fun...but it is possible. Just take your time with #8 and it will get done. Not much else I can offer except that...and the promise that changing them will be easier next time!

try using a spark plug socket ...put it over the plug then use a wrench on the socket (socket must have wrench fitting on the end).good luck!
