I am now running the Fram ultra in all my vehicles, with good results. I use the long version.
They are cheaper & better than the mobil1 filters, and readily available.
The only thing I find, is they are a tad shorter than the GM equivalent. But since I'm running the long version it doesn't matter.
I'm sure in a few year, they'll be commonly accepted by car guys.
