Yes this will be a Grudge Race car .. Heads are Protopline 14* heads , they are no longer made , they were CNCed by them then had the them reworked .

I had goodluck with the prosystem SV1 carb last year ... Patrick gave me a hand few times tunning at the local track . So i will be using carb setup for now atleast , what i really wanna do is run EFI with a DRY fogger setup and just have the injectros add the fuel . The heads have a bit more in them , but wanted Peak to be around 7800-8000 rpms so didnt go to crazy with the CSA . There is more to this head than flow numbers , the air speed is perfect .

LOL ..

They are right at 290cc with 2.99 MCSA .. The Port is rasied another .500 over most 18-15 degree heads . The hard part will be getting the cast intake to match the heads .

Those Protopline heads must be a hell of a good casting ! (I think Australian head, but not positive) Everytime I've seen them being used in the past, they made big power. I think Bischoff used them on an Engine Masters winner a few years ago too.

Who's doing the port work ?

Yeah the heads were made in new zealand ... Bischoff use to have a CNC program for that head and made great power , Larry meaux made close to a 1000hp with that same head in a 406 ci . Head work is getting done by a guy named Eric weingartner in Ok .. Will post pics once i get them back .

Eric has been super cool , By far the best experience i have had with a head porter . He updates me with every bit of new result he gets and really made me feel more involved than ever before . he's prob one of the few that still port heads because they enjoy it .

You mention you want to run nitrous...

Be sure you use some kind of nano or nitrogen assisted pusher.

Elsewise you will be frustrated making more power on a full bottle then a half bottle. Even if you used a bottle warmer to spray at the same psi in each case.

This was why I ditched nitrous in favor of forced induction.

However, now these nitrogen assisted nitrous units are supposed to eliminate that issue.

Id like to one day reinstall the nitrous (juice+boost) - for off the line punch since my blower is a centrifugal.

I know Eric.... he's been doing this stuff for a long time. He'd be on my short list on who I would send my cylinder heads too.

I am going to guess that your cylinder head results will pop-up on Speedtalk or YB before long

Good luck on the results.... looks like a fun build.

This stuff will be a whole new learning experience in tuning ... I would have to start from scratch . I have a nitrous mother bottle with me at the track and we top off the bottles when they get half way ..
