Default Power Side Mirrors inop

I replaced the fuse and both mirrors still will not function. I have removed the door panel to check for broken wires or connections and have found none. How do I test the switch to be sure it is the problem before I order one?

Anyone else have this problem? How did you go about fixing it?

My car is a 1994 model.

If you've removed the door panel and have access to it the diagnostics should be very simple. It either has 12V to it or it does NOT. A simple test light would answer that question. Clean the contacts well with contact cleaner and reassemble Works or it doesn't. I've never disassembled/removed the cover from the switch to attempt to clean internal contacts and don't know that I would.

12V supply is likely/might be pink -

In the "OTHER" forum you mention removing the cover!

With jumpers @ THE CONNECTOR

Ground the black lead to ground! Jumper pink to green (LH vertical) pink to blue (RH vertical), pink to white (LH horizontal), pink to white/red (RH horizontal). The lamp is not supplied by the same 12V supply.

This what I believe I would do if the three step procedure in the FSM was NOT conclusive. The 3 step in the FSM is less complicated! 8A-147-0 thru 2

Is removing the door panel the only way to access this switch to diagnose or replace? Hope it is appropriate to add this question to this thread.

Well if this is your toggle switch
http://www.ebay.com/itm/94-96-Corvette-C4-Power-Mirror-Switch/140837813461?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D261%26meid%3D8932262034518238989%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D2%26sd%3D221166437846%26#ht_3153wt_1251
you probably have a left right power switch. That is the switch I sprayed to get mine working. hd electric cleaner on and in the switch then dialectric grease(or the problem will come back soon). Probably have to remove door panel to get to plugs but then you can do them all.
