If I could post a picture of what I got I would, I got a heater hose assembly off of an early 90s escort, it has 2 tees built into it, already threaded in 3/8npt. I cut the rubber section off & hooked it up. Check out my engine pictures in my album, I have the cts mounted in one.
You could go to the local hardware store & get some npt fittings& 3 way union to make a tee, mount the sensor in the tee, the fittings should bee 3/4 so you could hook it into the heater hose.
Turns out the temp switch thread is 3/8 NPT not 3/4 went today to check !
Tried to find a suitable tee to mount the fan temp switch in the heater hose line.
BUT, the temp switch thread is 3/8 npt, by the time you put together a 3/4 tee with the 3/4 barb ends, ( heater hose going to manifold is 3/4 my heater core is bypassed by PO ) and 2 reducers for the temp switch, would cost about $35.00, it's a hot mess and HUGE !!!
The sensor will not be in the water supply, rather about an inch deeper, so it can work but you will have to have the sensor upside down so you don't get an air pocket.
I wound up ordering a 3/4 brass barb connector on amazon and will drill it and solder a 3/8 female npt fitting to it so the temp switch head is in the coolant flow, and will have to solder a ground wire mounting point on it, About $15.00 tot cost.
