94 passive keyless entry troubleshooting
newbie here.
can anyone assist me in troubleshooting my pke issue.
brief descript.- bought vette last sum. system worked, late in sum. it became sporatic then would not work at all , as far as the proximity sensing part , key remote would work . any advice or info on this prob availabe ? thanks

Well, to really have an opinion we need details. No offense, but "stopped working" is rather vague. If it is a coupe, does the hatch open button work?
First thought is have you put a new battery in the fob?
Second, did you accidentally turn the fob "off"? Stand by the door and hold down the "door" button on th fob for 5 or 10 seconds. See if you hear a "clack-clack" sound. If you do, good. That is the sound of the PKE function being turned on and off. (This is all in the owners manual).
Third, it is possible you dropped the fob, or it just wore out and you might need a new one.
Fourth, the receiver in the car may have stopped working. Try to reprogramm th fob (instructions in the owners manual) and make sure everything works as it says it should, right up until you are to bring the fob in range. If it doesn't do this, buying a new fob will not help.
