I am 18yrs old and I got my first corvette!
It's an 84 and I am trying to learn more and more about it. My question is, can anybody make me a list of performance upgrades than I can do, and that you think will help me learn more about the corvette world ( I already added an after market exhaust)
The 84 was the first and only year with the crossfire, so it stands out there by itself. Remember that HP costs $$$$$$. It will cost even more if you have someone else to the work. I would suggest that you enjoy the car first and get used to it. I would suggest that the first upgrade just be a basic tune up with new plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
Actually, second and last year with the Crossfire. The owners of '82 Crossfire cars could also be of assistance when it comes to performance modifications, since the engines are the same.
I stand corrected on the crossfire. It is kind of out there by itself, like my 85...first TPI and the only year they used the 870 chip....plus iron heads.

Some early 86's had iron heads if im not mistaken.
Id recommend doing poly bushings/ball joints/tie rods first. It might not be that fast but a good suspension will make you love the car.

I second that.
Nothing like throwing my 85 into a corner at 50 and sailing out as smooth as butter.
On a silly note... it would be good to do this because there's definitely one or two bushings about to go out. Plus, you'll learn a thing or two about your suspension.
On another note, focus on fixing the car first... never let anyone tell you that a used car doesn't need anything. 30 years has broken, loosened, or worn something and you'll find it very fast if you're digging around in the car.
Right. Get the car right and enjoy it a bit before you start modding it. The better you know the car, the better choices you will make later when doing mods.
Just my two cents, remember that mods that really produce take $$ and effort. Most of the ads you will see for quick, easy installation improvements don't really do anything.
