Default Will need help with new intake

Just bought one of these:

To replace this intake and runners(which I will be selling here soon):

Anyone done this swap? I will have questions.
1. Where do I obtain a remote thermostat housing?
2. Will my new BoschIII injectors from FIC work on this manifold?
3. I had already purchased a new distributor from Summit. Will it work on this modified LT1 manifold?
4. Seller said he would answer my questions about where to hook up all the L98 hoses. I am always nervous when jumping into a project I have never done before. Can anyone help if I get bogged down?
5. Will I need to have my stock 91 memcal reprogrammed?
About my existing setup. I will be selling the plenum, runners and manifold. The manifold has a new adjustable fuel pressure regulator. It has a hole for the 9th injector but I JB welded a coin to it and then glued a Corvette crossed flag button to the coin (looks kinda cute). It could be taken off if you need that hole. The intake was mildly ported by the previous owner. I cleaned it up and painted it with Corvette Central valve cover paint. The front and back of the manifold have been dimpled where they mount to the "china wall" of the block.
My die grinder died so a local Corvette guy offered to port match the runners to the base and to the plenum. They have all been opened up
and I have used TPIS gaskets which should still be in good shape.
Now, in fairness and to be as honest as I can be I must admit that my free plenum/runner porting job is not pretty. The guy was a bit ham handed and used a sawzall to cut through the metal between the openings where they join at the plenum. Not real pretty but he did smooth things out. I was going to make a project out of cleaning these up next winter with my new die grinder. They seem to flow real great but as I said - not very pretty. I can take pics after I dismantle the unit.
It will come with the special bolts that came with the runners along with the long ball tip wrench.
Any advice is appreciated!
Edit: I will probably include the new EGR that I installed when I put the plenum on. The fuel rail has all new O rings installed throughout.

find your local speed shop for some of the stuff you still need...

pretty porting? mine looks like a blind chimp did it with a grinder...it works and the ports match perfectly..

atta boy Cheeta !

new tune? most likely. I would, put it like that.

help available around here? I bet I can;t answer many of your questions but I know a few guys that CAN. More than a few. Don;t stress. Have fun.

The inj should work. I think the LT used a shorter inj...and the B-III for the L98 came shorter..so all should be ok..if not, Call Jon. He will know what to do.

Injectors will work, no problem. Jegs has the remote stat . It will probably want more advance in the tune. You can bump up the base timing for a start. Datalogging will tell you what it really wants. You will pick up .2 or .3 in your 1/4 mile ET.

Moroso/Summit or Jegs sells the piece you need to have welded on the dist. Get a good machinist to cut the hold and weld it up.
Youre going to like the newfound power upstairs. PLus it comes on and off in literally minutes.

I did my own conversion of an LT intake before I moved on to the HSR.
The remote thermostat I used was an Offenhauser I grabbed from Jegs. I drilled and tapped for the coolant temp sensor in the housing as well. I located the housing to the front cross bar in front of the water pump pulley. Ran heater hoses from the housing along the frame rails to the coolant passages in the rear by the distributor.
You need to adapt the fuel lines to the new location. I used AN fittings from the fuel filter location and then came up along the firewall to the fuel rail in the rear (TPI connects in the front).
The distributor I switched to a small cap HEI. I have heard that with enough clearancimg you can fit the large cap HEI but I don't see that happening. I removed the entire EGR boss and it was tight with the small cap.
I can look up some of my pictures later and post or send to you if you need them.

Thank you. What did you use to connect the remote thermostat housing to the upper radiator hose? I see that the Jegs/Summit units do not have a provision for that.
The intake I purchased already has the machining done to accommodate the distributor.
I am also doing a throttle body bypass and I bought an air pump eliminator kit so I should have more room up front for the remote stat.
I thought I would purchase a used set of LT1 fuel lines and fuel pressure regulator from Vette2Vette (the lines that go from the fpr to the fuel filter). I know an experienced drag racer/mechanic/fabricator that has a shop nearby. Thought I would have him convert those lines to attach to my existing fuel filter. Does that seem feasible?
Please post up some pics here as I am sure others would be interested in how this works.
I found several old Forum, Action Center and Thirdgen posts on this conversion. Is Redrose still on the board? He had some great ideas and pics.

If I remember corretly I got adapters for the fuel line from a vendor that adapted the stock metric fuel fittings to AN at the filter and return (there is a union down there next to the filter). They also had the quick connect connections to AN for the fuel rail.

The remote thermostat housing that I used takes a standard thermostat housing for the upper radiator hose. I shopped for one that had the most vertical neck and used the stock radiator hose except put it on backwards (it works).

I eliminated the heater core due to it leaking after the rebuild and it never gets very cold down here in Louisiana. Also bypassed the throttle body.

One other thing I remembered when I was looking at the pics. I had to mod the throttle cable bracket to make it work - the distance between the throttle linkage and the cable bracket was too short. See pic for mod.
