..... How I spent my Sunday morning ... The Mahle pistons are a work of art ... the Lunati Pro-Mod rods feel like a medieval weapon in my hand ... the crosshatch is perfect ... the round wire wrist pin retainers were a royal pain in the ... and the sacrilege ... 2-bolt mains and a cast crank

Oh well, 4 out of 5 isn't too bad. To make you feel better, I raced for years with my 383 which had a gm 400 cast crank, prepped and nitrided. A thousand low 11 second runs shifting at 6200 with never a problem. The crank still runs today in a buddy's car.

Sunday Afternoon

..... The troops are ready ... time to gap the rings ... using a piston to square the ring in the bore ... electric ring gapper , what a time saver ... Thanks PDQUIK95 ........ plugging up those nasty holes with aluminum slugs ........
