Anyone have any luck using one of the Holley EFI - self tuning systems? I'm currently have issues once again with some type of computer issue and and have been looking into this system to replace my stock computer (with newly reflashed chip). It may just be that I need to get my chip re flashed again cause something is off on the programing but if that idea fails I need to do something.
I would rather not spend the $$ at the shop to tell me they cant find the problem and instead replace the entire system. Any info would be great!....Its a high possibility I will go down this road if the computer issue doesn't get sorted out soon!

Some more info on your setup and problems would help
Do you have a stock engine or a radical stroker motor???????
It would be cheaper to fix yours. What symptoms and codes do you have?
waiting to hear back from the shop....the power to the reader was shorting out somewhere so they couldn't pull the codes till the fixed the power issue....just my luck

What is the LSA on the cam?
If those are the @ 50 duration numbers you are going to want a gun tuner
Even a "self tuning" system is going to have problems adjusting to that degree of valve overlap at idle
Those are some healthy duration numbers for a SuperRam. The SuperRam is made for mid to mid-high rpm torque. I ran mine to 6600 with my 406 and an extrude honed SuperRam. Your cam would be ideal for even higher rpms. You should still be able to get the thing to run though.

Are you sending them your datalogs so they can tweak the tune ?
just talked to the shop and they recommend sending my computer and chip back to pcm and have them run thru it again!! Not sure if I wanna do this again and wait a month and spend another $200...if I have to do this back and forth crap with pcmforless a few more times I could have bought an EFI system!
Anyone kow of any other good systems like the EFI?
My 238/242 on 112/cl idled perfectly, never had an idle quality problem with the 165 ECM or the FAST XFI.
But for me, the fuel smell was the main issue, many people on the forum over time stated that they were able to tune big cams, later to find out that, fuel rich smell did not bother them, so this part of tuning, i.e. fuel smell is subjective.
If not for the fuel smell, I would have kept my 238/242 or even gone with a still bigger cam
Fyi the stock computer can be tuned to run your combination. Does the holley system use a wb O2 sensor or narrow band sensor? If it is a narrow band it will have issues with idle.
now looking into a dynamic efi system that would allow me to tune right at the dyno and no longer would need to go back and forth with my chip....anybody have any luck with dynamic efi?
