extra wire

replaced water pump on my 89, have one extra electrical connector left and can't figure out where it is supposed to connect to? yellow and black wire, black ground and yellow carries 5 volts with ignition on. Any help would be appreciated!

That is a plug to either a coolant temp sensor(above water pump on intake) or the manifold temp sensor. Nothing else uses that plug.

thanks alot. it was the coolant temp sensor. happy days!!
