Default Oil Weight

I may have put 5w20 into my 1994 LT1...Do I need to get it out and put in the 5w30 its supposed to use????

You will probably be fine, just keep an eye on oil pressure. if it gets lower than normal you may want to.

Even though 5w-20 isn't the correct spec, it is not going to ruin your engine.

I wouldn't use it all the time or long term, but its not an emergency that you get it out either.

After lots of reading on a motor oil forum, i run it in my '86L. No problems in 2 years and
lots of 1/8 mile passes.

I agree it won't ruin your engine, but since we are going into summer months I would change it to the right oil. In winter months I would say let it stay in....WW
