odometer readings
In the 96 Impala SS, there is a fuse you can pull to halt the digital odometer. It'll go black, and stop counting. No one in the Impala forum likes talking about it, but it is a fact.
Can the same be done on the 96 C4?
I'm looking for a 96 LT4, and I don't want to get screwed with a "low Mileage" car that isn't true.

Inside the early C4 digidash, the odometer is operated by a small electric motor. If you unhook the wiring going to the motor the odometer won't register....but I've never tried it :blueangel:

on a 96 Vette the Odometer mileage is stored in the CCM. only way I know to stop it from adding is to disconnect the VSS.. but then your car will run rough as well.

welp, in the 94-96 Impala SS, it's as simple as pulling a fuse. The fuse marked A/C, which of course does NOT affect the A/C. It's really pathethic that GM engineers did this.
So natually I don't want a "low" mileage LT4, that ain't so low .....
