Perfect timing! just poured my coffee and logged on to see what you fine gentlemen had to say. Good morning, I have the MAF plugged in and from what I can tell since I did not take it on the road yet it is running ALMOST right. What I cant fix is the smoke. I believe I have the fuel in the oil cause in the beginning installing the wires, I viewed the wrong firing order and pretty much just poured tons of unburnt fuel in the cylinders. So last night I pulled the plugs...again... and they were nasty, polished em up, changed the PCV, timed it to 8* and started her up.. Sounded good, snappy throttle in nuetral, just a bad smell of unburnt fuel and smoke. I believe that I may need to reroute the wires away from being that they could be shorting out and causing a misfire. I just do not know exactly why it is smoking so much. I have to get this thing running by 9 being that I made a stupid tint appointment last week and forgot and I do not want to stiff the guy just a few hours before. Thanks again for the reply

Have you checked the setting on the tps? If it is high it will cause the rich idle. Set it to .54 v

I do not have an ohm meter so I am not able to yet. My buddy has all I need so as soon as he is free we are going to check the whole FI system. I threw in an MSD ignition coil and another set of new plugs( Others were pulled and cleaned last night and after an hour of toying with it this morning they were pitch black) today to use up my gift card and it did absolutely nothing so I have ruled out the ignition. Ill tell ya what, you guys are probably going to hate me for saying this but I have a 750 Holley on the shelf off a 350 and if i find out that the injectors are shot or multiple sensors/regs need replacing.. I just may, mind you I say may, slap a carb on the pig and be done with everything computer wise. I ship out in Oct and I would like to build this thing for my father before I leave so we can go to the track at least once! Im really just not up for learning another type of Injection system yano. Thanks again!

FYI, you check volts on a tps not ohms.
