1992 injector problem with ignition.

1992 injector problem with ignition.
When you turn the ingintion on, the drivers side fuel injectors remain fully open at all times. All injectors tested o.k. The computer is a reman. Any ideas?

The 92 is a batch fire fuel injector system. One side fires then the other and it is controlled by the ECM which is the ground return path for the injectors. If a problem develops in the ECM it can hold the injector open. All 4 injectors return path are connected together. Not the first time I heard of this.

..... First , how do you know they are staying " on " ......... if the ground wire(s) that return to the ECM are shorted to ground in between the ECM and the injectors they will stay on because the ECM is no longer in control ... check the harness well for any places where it may have rubbed , chafed , or gotten pinched ..... you can ohm check the injector harness but I would try isolating injectors by unplugging them one at a time to see if the rest shut off when one is pulled ... each batch (side) is wired in series ... an injector ohm test would be informative ... they should ohm around 16 ......................
