93 vette w/code 32
Ok, my Service Engine Light keeps coming on. I took it to my machanic. He scaned it for the code. 32 code was detected. I replaced both the EGR Valve/Soleniod. No light for about a month. Now the light comes on again. Again I had it scaned and again code 32 was detected. However, I notice each time the light came on after I replaced both the EGR/Solenoid, my Aux fan is on w/engine at 198-200 degrees. Now, If I'm correct, only the primary fan should only come on once the engine temp has reached 228-230 degrees.
Can someone help with this issue. Oh by the way, I've changed the engine coolant temp senor as well.
Thanks
Ok, after all the suggestion I received, I still could not solve this issue. However, I took the advise of my mechanic. I added a bottle of cheron fuel system cleaner and drove on it for about 5-6 miles, perior to filling up the gas tank.(approx 1 mnth ago).
I have to say, the service eng light has not showed itself since. So, if someone else is experiencing this same issue, you may want to add a bottle of fuel system cleaner to your fuel tank.
I thought I'd share this with everyone...
Thanks

one located on the water pump (front of engine), and one
in the block (between cyl 7 & 8).
The water pump sensor is digital, and 'talks' to the ECM.
The block sensor is analog, and registers on the dash analog gage.

Usually the coil in the EGR solenoid will open up (high resistance) to set the code. This can be checked with an ohm meter to verify if it is bad. Off the cuff, probably under 100 ohms
I would also check the electrical connectors and clean them for anything that relates to the EGR electrical connections.
He pcolt94,
I have a 93 that looks just like yours. Question for you, I don't have the FSM and I just purchased a set of shocks. However, the question presented to me was, do I have z51 suspension? My answer, I'm not sure.
Pcolt94, how can I find out if I have Z51 or not?
Thanks

If the steering wheel turns 2 1/4 turns lock to lock, then it is basic steering.
If the steering wheel turns 2 turns lock to lock, then it is Z51 steering and suspension.
