On my 86, does anyone know how much coolant loss to expect when changing the aux fan temp switch? Just not sure if a few rags are enough or will I need a pan?

Hello Scott, I have an 86 as well, my rad fan comes on @ 230* and would like it to come on sooner, is this aux fan temp switch you speak of standard or an add on equipment, and can you tell me where you purchased it? If you are talking about the CTS (coolent temp sensor) or a fan relay switch I've already replaced those. Thanks in advance, Mark

think he's talking about his aux fan...in front of the a/c if you have one.....easier to just ground the wire through a switch to manually make it come on.....never really noticed it making any difference....my 85 doesn't run hot so it may not be of any use at all....
