Default 84 gauge cluster

I need my gauge cluster rebuilt/repaired. Anybody have any ideas were to send it? I know there are some places on ebay, but are they reputable?

There used to be a guy here, scarabexc, that rebuilds and repairs the atari dashes. You may shoot him a PM and see if he is still around.

If your handy with electronics, batee.com is your premier go to source for almost all issues on the dash. It helped me solve my no light issue

Repair generally starts around $300 and goes up quickly if you have bad LCDs. There are 3 different LCDs and are about $100 each.

My dash works fine but all 3 LCDs are shot. I like the atari dash but am seriously considering some of the analog PnP options or fabbing one with a Firebird/TA dash. THe dash also controls the cruise control so unless you use a GM dash or something specifically designed for our cars you will lose your cruise function. My lead foot demands I use a speed setting device to prevent me adding to my ticket collection.

Explain further. Are there segments missing on the LCDs? Or, is it coming on, and off, or flickering?

If its flickring, and cutting in, and out. Then its most likely you just need to do some soldering. Simple.

If you are staying lit up but are missing segments, (some areas dont light up) then the LCD's are bad, and ya the screens are $100ea. Its a great dash, with plenty of info. I would do my best to save it if I were you. After market gauges will NOT help with resale. h
