He really knows the A/C stuff cold (pun intended).

With the A/C on and engine running, is the refrigerant pipe going into the top of the evaporator housing cold?

If it's cold the problem is in the HVAC system inside the car.

If it's not cold the problem is in the engine compartment.

[EDIT] Well, that's pretty general and not 100% accurate, but it will help get you started. [/EDIT]

Hard to lose all of the cold air unless the Temp Door isn't working. If it's full time heat, that reheats what was cooled. Look inside the Evaporator Case again to make sure that it's operating correctly. Have someone work the controls so that you can visualize what it's doing.

I'd guess that it's the door OR it isn't charged, so what operating pressures did you charge to and what was the ambient temp when you charged it?

There are other places that cold air can go - but rarely all of the cold air. That would include the Evaporator Case in the engine compartment - taken off and not resealed - and the interior duct work from the heater box, though if it's not sealed you will usually feel cold air somewhere in the passenger footwell.
