Oh if I use rollerlifters do I use linked or use the pan that holds the lifters in place.

you can use 1.6 roller tip to get a little more air inn and out ( i am using that ) on iron heads you do not have to use guide plates .

Are you using the same valve covers? Did you install them yourself? Did you notice a difference? Please tell and no guide plates?
