Mine did not look as bad as that pic, but the small orifice was plugged. I used a brass wire brush and some brake cleaner. Put the EGR value back on. I reset the code, and drove it for 15 minutes. No more SES light.
Ok took it off and it was very clean. If I had a vacuum leak would that cause it. I found a vacuum line to the cruise control off. Fixed it and now the cruise works again. So any ideas on why the SES lihht comes on.
