Default knee bolster

How do you remove the passenger knee bolster im trying to access the ecm thanks

just pull the lower panel off. uses a 7mm socket, 3-4 screws and undo the courtesy light. look straight up to see the bottom of the ecm, 10mm socket w/extension 2 bolts. pulls straight down.

My car has a large harness that is in the way and keeps the ECM from dropping out. There is a large connector there that needs to be opened to get the ECM out.

This wire harness position is normal. You have to move it so you can remove the two 10mm bolts. Removing the carpeted knee bolster is POINTLESS...and you DO NOT want to do that unless you have to...and removing the computer does not require it. when you remove the two bolts for the computer...it will allow the computer to drop a little bit so you can remove the two connectors and then remove the computer. This wiring harness may not have been routed correctly after the last person who removed it. But regardless..ti will come out.
