ok...called fuel inj.inc....wanted the injectors you guys recommended...ford blue. 24#....they say, and sent me....delphi 22#...they say they are new and stock for my car...and what they reccommend....I have them, waiting on a coulple of other things before I start....two questions..\
1. are they the right ones I should be installing...
2. any point in getting a adjustable fuel pressure reg....they say these run at 38 pounds and are sending a diaphragm and spring.

The 85 uses 24# injectors. I would call them back and ask them to explain why they feel 22# are the right ones.
An adjustable regulator doesn't hurt. The 85 runs at a lower pressure than later models. That's because it 24# injectors rather than 22. So adding some pressure will help atomize the fuel a little better. TPiS did some testing that supports the argument that the 85 responds better with higher pressure.

I would think you'd have to turn the pressure up. You can install them and check blm counts with a scanner, and see if they run lean or not.
I don't like the Multec's myself, but it's up to you.

thats them....they said they were new....guess i'll give them a call...
