OK so in my quest to make a California state legal exhaust, I'm at a cross road.
I have a C6 Z06 exhaust that with a little fabrication can be made to work. Drivers side is completely doable. Passenger side is the one in question. Pics that follow....
As you can see I'm hitting the frame. My idea is to grind down the side and re weld a bolt further back. Making a bolt in all 4 corners. Given the heat and vibration, do you think this wise?
Or should I scrap the idea and just stick with longtubes? I have it my head that I want a 100% functional vette that will get me thru inspection.
With the little bit of contact you have there, I would hammer additional clearance in the frame rail, which already has a nice dent in the right place from GM. If you used a torch and a square peice of metal as a dolly it would look factory.

I like the idea. I'll talk to the shop. Good input. I have a set of c6 z06 manifolds and ls3 set. I wanna stick with z06 so I hope frame will work.
