Install, Neither...

The stock throttle body flows enough air to support 400 hp. A 52mm or 58mm throttle body will add nothing to a stock engine.

Exhaust and runners will add maybe, 5hp to your "91" Vette.

An engine is an air pump. If the stock part supplies more potential air than it needs, supplying even more air potential won't make more power.

My vote would be for headers and intake followed by a dyno tune if you want to get something for your money.

I had a 52mm on my LT1 383 engine. I reinstalled the stock 48mm TB at one point trying to choke off power (to stay in class) and made about 12 hp more on the dyno...

Just throwing parts at the engine is usually a waste of time, it's a complete system.

stock 48mm = 783 CFM. IMHO stock is to big for a L98 engine that will not breath
past 5000 rpm.

As a side note, when they say that the part is worth 20 HP it usually means in conjunction with the rest of the system.

A 91 speed density system has a non adjustable, so you're just fine where it's at.

You might have to slot it. I would check if the IAC is set right.

The 91 ecm is capable of learning where it's at. 85 thru 89 had a specific value to be set at.
