Since you have a plain silver label on the EPROM, it was probably reprogrammed already. That means that we have no idea what is in there. The only way to find out is to remove the EPROM from the MEMCAL and read it electronically. Do you know anybody who can do that? If not, a store that sells electronic parts should be able to read it. If you can do that, have them email the .BIN file to you or put it on a thumb drive.
When you have the .BIN file you can change the extension from .BIN to .TXT and read it in Notepad or some other text editor. When you do that it will look like this:
1F080D6200A697F632… and many more.
The 32 is the important number. It's for Corvettes with the 1227165 ECM. Since your MEMCAL came from a different car that number might be different.

unfortunately. I don't know any body that can to or provide that service here in the banana republic.
Did you try scanning the car using vin code F? That is what's required for a Camaro. If it is as Cliff suggested a Camaro memcal it may scan. What's funny is I'm using a Corvette base AXCR and it scans using Vin F, but mine is speed density.

I just config my scanner
the new setup
maker GM
year. I type in 86
I enter Vin F
after that the scanner ask 5.0 yes or no. I enter yes.
CLIFF I delite your messege by and accident. but here is the aswer to voltage test
Ok just test the A and B terminal on the ALDL. the reding is 5.02 volts.
regarding the SES light going off when the ingine is running. I haven got a chance to try that. remeber my baterry is to weak to start the engine. so I will recharge today. it will take into tomorrow to be fully charge
That procedure seems strange to me. The step after plugging the ECM back in says ALDL not grounded. I think it should say terminals A & B connected or terminal B grounded (same thing). I just read the FSM, and it says to ground circuit 451 (ALDL pin B) with a test light (which should light because of the 5 volts coming out of the ECM to pin B), which is the same as connecting A & B together. That step is missing from the above link.
I know you have a FSM. There is a troubleshooting procedure for SES light on all the time on page 6E3-A-20. I think you might have already been there, but I mention it just in case... ;-)
i have the same problem with my 1994 c4, 16 valve motor.
scanner wont read my car. almost like its not connecting. works on my other car though. strange.

Doesn't the 94 have a special obd2 type 16 pin that may require a special scanner? While still obd1 it has a flashable pcm with an odd connector.
