Have a new problem that just came up. Battery was dead the other day. Checked the voltage and it was 11.8 but when I hit the key made the starter clicking and lights dimmed. Well Traced it down to something draining the battery. With no key in car, Fuses pulled for int lights. I get a 350ma draw from battery to battery wire. I have pulled all fuses and circuit breakers in the fuse panel and no change.
350 ma seem like a lot with nothing on.
Any ideas were to start..
BTW its does this after overnight.
Just changed my 2 year old alternator last week due to this. It was the drain. Thank goodness for lifetime alternator. And FWIW, it tested good 4 times at the store.
I've heard of an extra drain from a motor that doesn't quite shut off when it should. Possibilities are the power antenna and power seat (especially if you put the seat all the way back every time you get out of the car).
Don't remember when they changed ,
your supply wires may be from the Pos starter terminal as on the earlier cars
Does seem to be coming from the terminal block behind the batter. I did unplug the headlight wires, wiggled the switches to the seats. If i find which red wire from the block is doing it, how can i find were it goes.

You can narrow it down by seeing what doesn't work when the circuit is found. Here is power distribution from my 86 manual.
