Default 95 overheat

The ac stays on when I am running the heater. One of the pipes to the compressor is ice cold, when the heater is on. Also one of he cooling fans does not come on when the car is running the heater. It comes on if I turn on the ac switch. So it's not a bad fan motor. Any ideas what to look for. Thanks Randy

95-6 should be both fans off, both fans low, and both fans high. There is no situation for one fan to run alone. Did a PO get creative with wiring?

Look at the driver's side radiator shroud top. Three relays. They should all be identical. The power for the fans should come from them under all situations. You can swap them around with each other if you ever suspect a failed one.

Do you have RPO C68 electronic climate control? If so look here to read its trouble codes and see if the data it reports matches what the car is doing.
