hey guys im new to the forum my problem is i recently traded for a 85 vette the car is in pretty good cond runs great, but when i get on it it starts to fishtail a little it cuts out til it stops spinning then kicks back in and goes ?? was under the impression that 85 models didnt have this feature .there are no buttons or switches for this that i can find . the only upgrades to the car are g-force chip , k&n , throttle spacer , any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated , thanks TONY .
What! You bought a new car and the seller didn't even fill it up.
Could be worse. When I bought mine, without an owners manual I didn't find the gas gauge so I went for the first gas station I could find to fill it up. Took better than 18.5 gal to fill it. It's a wonder it even started but it did and went over 10 miles to the station.
It was via a car auction, but they could have at least left some gas in the tank.
You may want to try adding a set of these shim plates on the C Beam assy. These cars suffer from not be able to swat and go in a straight line sometimes. this is the url http://www.zfdoc.com/c4beamplate.htm they are inexpensive but maynot completely remove the fish tailing affect but it should be noticable.
I put a set on mine and that helped some but when you stomp on it froma stop it pulls slightly to the left until the tires grip.
