Klyde has an LT1; your brother-in-law has an L98. The procedure is a little more involved for a 1991 L98. The intake manifold upper plenum and runners have to be removed to access the injectors on your 1991. If you go with FIC for the injectors get the manifold gasket kit and fuel rail kit. Plus if you do the injectors then also check the operation of the EGR along with removing it to check for carbon buildup. Also rebuild the fuel rail by replacing the o-rings (LT1 fuel rail doesn't need that) and replace or rebuild the fuel pressure regulator.
