HELP! Header removal
I'm attempting to pull my heads and get them ported while my car is out of commission for a week waiting for new tires. Driving around on the spare tire just isn't the "corvette style". I've got to pull the stock headers off and I've gotten to the passenger side one. The ERG(?) pipe going to the top of the header is froze/rusted in there really good. I could just pull the pipe off with the header except there is a support bolted on to the head. Is there a way to get the pipe support off while the head is still bolted on?

Try lots of Liquid Wrench first. I distroyed the one on my car getting it off. It came loose but the nut was totally distorted. It's not very strong. I bought a new pipe from Chevy. Cost about $45. Good luck.
