The hydraulic clutch went south so I had the master and slave cylinders replaced--fixed that problem. What has happened is that it is now hard to get the reverse lock out to work consistently. I have to stomp really hard several times to get it to start the car. Does whatever switch that is hooked to the system get tripped off the hydraulic cylinder and do I have to rebleed the system to get consistent results or is there some type of adjustment to the switch needed???
I'd guess either misadjusted pedal to master slave shaft or air in the line. If you're pumping the pedal several times, that's a symptom of air (been there, wrote the book). Get the air out and it will likely work.
If the switch is out of adjustment or on the way out, bleeding the hydraulics is a waste of time. As 86 suggested, get underneath and find out what has happened. The clutch rod is a biotch if you dont put it on the pedal before tightening to the firewall. Its possible if this procedure wasnt followed the switch may have been moved around.
