Default lowering the rear

Hi all
I replaced the original 16" wheels and tires on my 85 with 315/35/17s now I think there's a gap that's to big between the fender and the tire. I bought the rear lowering bolt and bushing kit from corvette mods my question is if I lower the rear 1"1/2 or 2" will that affect the alignment?

If what you bought were bolts maybe 10 - 11 long and the cushions at the spring mount only there will be no changes to the alignment when installed. If you change anything else while you're there it's a "game-changer" You likely received 4 - cushions, 2 bolts/nuts and maybe washers. A preferred cushion would have been a "rubber/steel" bonded affair - I've no idea what they might supply.

I would guess that with the bolts in the kit and new rubber you will only get an inch lower.

Yeah. It looks like the bolts are only about an inch and a half longer. The bushings look way thicker too I may not get as low as I wanted. Go figure!
